Great place that took me back to my childhood. Bought a bunch of stuff and received good service, even had a good chat with the owner that everyone says is rude. Lost one star because I believe photos should be allowed and would do the business good. I now can't tell my friends or family because I can't remember the brand's or products that they stock. I think the no photo rule damages the business but I'll respect it if that is the desire of the owner. Will still return in the future as it is a great store.
Best beef jerky in Australia. A must stop whenever we are in Adelaide. Great to know we can now order to be delivered to Melbourne!
Visited this place, already knowing the bad reviews regarding the rude customer service, but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. But the negative reviews were confirmed. I was told I wouldnt appreciate their products when I enquired about the Marzipan bar. And did not understand German at all, for an owner who claims authenticity. Just an unpleasant vibe overall. I dont think she had malicious intent/ intended to offend... but the personality just does not suit customer service. Went into the shop with anticipation and a benefit of the doubt, left with a feeling with disgust.
Man these guys are rude! Was reading email on my phone while waiting to be served and got told off for taking photos! Left pretty quickly after that and went to some of the much nicer shops in Hahndorf. Not exactly sure why they are so hung up on photos anyway but the shop is plastered with signs. Very odd..
Like most of the reviews here, we were similarly yelled at by an incredibly rude, old, lady who was behind the counter, for taking photos of some biscuits. I'm not quite sure why these biscuits are kept such a secret, but for those interested, I've attached the contraband picture. Definitely don't buy them or anything else here, but you can pick yourself some up next time you're in Aldi for half the price.
